What can I expect from a Two Week Stay and Train?

Gives the basic foundation of obedience. Sit, down, stay, and recall.

Four weeks?

More solid obedience with a focus on distractions.

Six+ weeks?

Off leash obedience and or correction of behavior.

I took Puppy Class why should I take Basic Obedience?

Puppy Class gives you and your puppy the basics to start your life long journey of traing. Our program is structured to continue to build on that foundation and to help solidify you and your dogs skills.

What is AKC Canine Good Citizen?

CGC is a ten-skill training program that’s open to all dogs–purebred and mixed breed–that focuses on teaching the basics of good manners and obedience, instilling the values of responsible ownership, and strengthening the bond between you and your dog at home and out in the community.

What kind of treats should I bring?

A soft, small, pea sized treat is ideal. Something that they do not have to chew and smells great. We have a variety of appropriate training treats to choose from for sale if you forget.

I administer my own vaccines can I still come to training?

No, we require vaccines given by a licensed veterinarian. Please note we require Bordatella be given every six months and regular updating of DHPP and Rabies vaccines.

What equipment is required for obedience training?

For best results, dependent on your pet, we ask owners to provide a correction type collar and a six foot leash. We will give recommendations after assessing your pet. Tasty treats and a treat bag to store your them on your hip comes in handy as well. Please no flexi leashes.
