About Our Rehab Doctor
Dr. Shelby Johnson earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine from Oregon State University in 2015. Additionally, she received her certification in veterinary medical acupuncture in 2014 from CuraCore, and canine rehabilitation in 2022 from Canine Rehabilitation Institute. Her passion for rehabilitation therapy began when her best friend’s dog, Lola, was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at the age of two. Over nine years later Lola is happy, healthy, and pain free thanks to years of rehabilitation to help her maintain function and delay the onset of osteoarthritis. Rehabilitation medicine is an extremely rewarding and fulfilling component of being a veterinarian.
Meet Our Rehab Technician
Cierra Piazza came to Pend Oreille Veterinary Service in 2015. She had a dog of her own, Kilo, who suffered from hip dysplasia which sparked her desire for rehab. Rehab and its modalities improved his mobility and quality of life. When Cierra’s not at work she enjoys fitness, baking, playing with her chickens and paddleboarding with her German short haired pointer and black lab/pitbull mix.
