What Is Canine Rehab

Initial evaluation involves a thorough orthopedic and neurologic exam to identify any pain, weakness, or dysfunction your dog may be suffering from. Once we have your dog’s rehabilitation diagnosis we will tailor a therapeutic exercise plan specific to their needs. They will also benefit from manual therapy, including massage, trigger point release, and joint mobilizations; as well as cold laser treatment and acupuncture. These modalities are proven to help with pain relief, improve range of motion and function, and maintain mobility and independence. We will also develop a home exercise plan for you to follow that suits your needs. You are welcome to remain with your dog during evaluation and/or treatment, or you may drop them off. This visit takes about an hour and half.

Follow-up evaluations involve therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, cold laser treatment, and acupuncture. This visit takes about an hour.
